We are almost there. CMH to LAX to Shangai to Phnom Pehn. Over 20 hours of air travel. We are only 2 hours out and it doesn’t matter which time I’ve gone I have this same feeling that is hard to describe. It’s quite the receipe of emotions; joy yet anxious, faithless, yet peaceful, naive and some love. I normally have a name for it outside of the mission trip context and, it’s called one hot mess. Just as typing this I can feel the Spirit literally rising up in me as reminder that He is here. So cool! Never think your prayers fall on deaf ears. When we are over here we can definitely see and feel them. Keep em coming!
Written 24 hours previous:
In the next several hours we will be pushed to the front lines on the fight against injustice. Things will be seen that we will never forget and there will be other things we see we wish we could forgot. We will be battling, but not against man (Ephesians 6:12), but against the source of all evil. I invite you join alongside us and help expand the footprint of the light of God. Please pray Ephesians 6:10-20 as you think about the trip. Let’s unite and turn this country into a shining beacon of light and that the bars of human/child trafficking would be destroyed and all that live in that reality would be set free. Declare freedom for the prisoners. Love for the “unlovable”. Grace for those who have victimized so many. That a generation would rise up and take this country for the things of God. That the next leader of the country wouldn’t just be ethical but a God fearing leader. If we can be committed to praying these, it’s not just possible it’ll happen, it’s likely.
